Outlook Mail: Save Multiple Mail Attachment Files Simultaneously
As an Outlook user, have you ever received a message that had multiple attachments? If you have, you probably saved one mail attachment at a time, which works well enough when getting these kinds of messages is infrequent. But maybe you actually get lots of messages with multiple attachments, or they’re rare, but when they come they contain a lot of attachments, I’m pleased to tell you that there’s a way to download and save multiple attachments at the same time. It’s not hard to do this, but the process varies a little bit depending on whether you are using Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007. What follows are the steps for each version of Outlook. In order to prevent any confusion, I’ve created a separate set of instructions for each Outlook version.
Saving More than One Mail Attachment at Once in Outlook 2003
Follow these steps to save multiple mail attachment files at a time when working with Outlook 2003.
- Open the message that contains the attachments.
- Click File, then Save Attachments.
- The Save All Attachments dialog box appears. In the Attachments list, select the attachments you want to save, then click OK.
- In the Save File dialog box that appears, navigate to the folder that you want to save the attachments in. Click click OK to save them.
Saving Multiple Mail Attachments at Once in Outlook 2007
This is the procedure to follow when you want to save multiple mail attachment files simultaneously when you’re using Outlook 2007.
- Select and open the message containing the attachments you want to save.
- Click Other Actions, then Save Attachments in the Actions panel of the Ribbon.
- When the Save All Attachments dialog box appears, find the Attachments list, select the attachments you want to save, then click OK.
- A standard file save dialog box appears. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the attachments. Click click OK to save them.
That’s all there is to it. The attachments are now stored in the folder you chose. I hope that you will find the procedures here to be time-savers when you’re working with attachments. And just so you know, there are a lot more tips where these came from.
